Delete Your Hearth Account

You can delete your Hearth account and the personal information in it at any time.

In the app

1. Open the menu and choose My Profile.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
3. Read what will happen, enter your password, type DELETE, and tap Delete My Account.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out.

What gets deleted

• Your profile, photo, recipes, folders, tags and private notes.
• Your cook records, comments, likes and the messages you sent.
• Your follows, blocks, shopping lists and settings.
• Any public recipe links you shared, which stop working.

Some information may remain in routine backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

What stays

• Edited copies of your recipes that other people made stay in their accounts, without a link back to you.
• Recipes that other people only saved, and did not copy, will no longer appear for them.
• If you were reported, or you reported someone, a record of the report may be kept for safety and legal reasons.

If you cannot use the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email support@hearthbound.download from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account." We will verify that the request is from you and delete your account within 30 days.
